Cody - Home of Buffalo Bill

Located around 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park, Cody was founded in 1896 by Colonel William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody. A growing and exciting community, Cody is well loved by it’s residents.

Powell - Home of the Park County Fair

Powell, Wyoming, to the east of Cody, is an agricultural area and is home to Northwest Community College. It is a vibrant community and home to many great cultural and community events that are enjoyed by many throughout the Big Horn Basin. It’s also the seat of our annual county fair. Park County includes multiple small communities such as Clark, Meeteetse, and Wapiti as well.

Yellowstone National Park is the nation’s oldest and grandest national park, and it’s in our backyard. Recreational opportunities abound – fishing, camping, hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hiking, skiing – our outdoor adventures are endless. The Northfork Highway has a wealth of areas for all of the above, including Sleeping Giant Ski Run.

The Buffalo Bill Center of the West sits at the west end of Sheridan Avenue and is the pinnacle for many cultural experiences. The Cody Nite Rodeo features nightly rodeos June through August.
